National Specialty Underwriters is staffed with a full Product Development division to procure new markets and design innovative products and programs. We believe you will be very pleased with the programs we have prepared for you. Programs provide you with a unique to offering that will differentiate your brokerage or agency in the marketplace. Programs are designed to offer group buying power and rate stability for a large number of separate but similar companies--for example, hotels throughout the US.

NSU’s role as a Program Administrator:

Organize and file the groups with state authorities
Arrange the insurance through financially strong carriers
Negotiates rates

We may also:

Assist in the underwriting of accounts
Process and service the policies throughout the year
Arrange loss control and claims services
Accumulate program results information
Initiate renewal

Program Power

Programs are designed to underwrite significant number of similar risks in order to realize economies of scale; a successful Program means competitive and predictable pricing, with broader coverage and flexibility in terms. We tailor endorsements and minimize exclusions, all based on an industry’s true needs.

Purchasing Groups

NSU offers certain Programs that take advantage of Purchasing Groups. A Purchasing Group (PG) is an organization that purchases liability insurance on a group basis from an insurance company. NSU administers purchasing groups of similar or related liability risks whose purpose is to purchase commercial liability insurance on a group basis. We have had successful groups in place since 1995.
