National Specialty Underwriters, Inc. (NSU) sells to independent agents and brokers in local, regional, and national firms. Our programs have no broker bias and can be accessed without restrictions or exclusivity. We respect your relationship with your insured and we seek only to provide products and services that enhance it. You can count on friendly responsive service.

NSU is national in scope. We have offices on both coasts, and we are licensed to do business in all 50 states. We can work with you on complex, multi-location, multi-line schedules. NSU is independently owned and operated, not part of a conglomerate. We are a program administrator and wholesaler only, with no direct sales.

Broker Appointment
When you submit business to place coverage, we initiate the broker appointment process. An indication can be provided without the contract in place, but will require an executed Broker Agreement prior to quoting an account.

The Broker Agreement sets forth responsibilities and requirements of both parties. Our agreement also details NSU’s requirement that the Retail Broker carries Errors & Omissions Insurance coverage with a limit of no less than $1,000,000 with an Insurer having an A.M. Best Rating of A- VIII or better. Evidence of this coverage must be provided within 30 days after signing the Broker Agreement and within 30 days after the renewal date of such coverage.

Broker Agreement
