PALMER HART - SALES EXECUTIVE

Palmer has spent his entire career in and around the insurance industry.  In 2009, he joined NSU as a sales executive in the Healthcare Division, focusing on the placement of Medical Professional Liability. His background includes a stint as in reinsurance and he has worked on both wholesale and retail brokerages.  He started his career in medical malpractice insurance with a large, national retail brokerage working with physicians and physician groups.  Always the innovator, it was in this capacity that he developed a productivity tool for tracking Illinois med-mal insurance rates.

Today, he specializes in program administration and wholesale brokerage, providing regional brokers with national surplus lines expertise.

When he is not diligently working with brokers, Palmer enjoys an active life including attending Chicago Bulls’ games, playing intramural football and brewing his own beer.  Sources close to Palmer says he has been known to run errands – literally.

A graduate of Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, Palmer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Finance. His educational claims to fame include participating in Indiana University’s Little 500 Bike Race (popularized by the 1979 movie Breaking Away, for all you movie buffs) and studying in the Netherlands.  Palmer resides in Chicago.
