BEN NEWMAN - PROGRAM EXECUTIVE

Ben has been in the Property and Casualty insurance arena for over 20 years and in that time has had roles in underwriting, brokerage client management, sales and sales management, agency strategic planning and alternative risk programs.  For the past seven years, Ben has been vice president of the Healthcare Division for National Specialty Underwriters. Prior to joining NSU, he was an underwriter at Federated and Liberty Mutual Insurance focusing on large Casualty clients. He also spent 7 years at Marsh where he held positions in client management and sales in the Healthcare and Transportation sectors.  His background gives him a wide perspective of all things insurance - including complex, consultative sales, agency planning, underwriting, alternative risk programs and insurance program development.   He is currently focused on expanding the healthcare programs at NSU.

Ben is a member of the Academy of Correctional Health Professionals, the American Correctional Association and the Radiology Business Management Association.  He is also member of the Vistage Key Executive Program.

Ben grew up in Marietta, Georgia and holds a bachelor of business administration degree in Finance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi.  Outside of the office, Ben spends most of his time with his wife of 17 years, Tammy, and his two kids, Kate and Andrew.  Active in the community, he is a Youth Leader with his church and coaches youth basketball and baseball.  He enjoys golf, dinner and a glass of wine with friends and the annual treks to the beach with their extended family.   Ben and his family live in the Atlanta area.
